silencer problems???????????

I just put on my new silencer which is a FMF turbine core for a 91-92 LT because i couldnt find a midpipe to get the correct silencer for my 87. The turbine core fits great other than the fact that it extends out pretty far from the rear fender. has any had this problem before using this aplication and how did you correct it? I attacheda few pix to show you what im talking about. Lert me know what you think and any ideas on how to fix it.

Thats does look kind of funny,but do both bolt holes line up?

both bolt holes line up perfect but it sticks out to far from the plastics

wouldnt wanna flip that one over backwards... silencer would be ripped off lol

must be made like that becuase of the spark arrestor inside. its pased the fenders but not that far passed the grab bar. you may just bend the tip if you did flip it. it would be the same if you put a sparky on the regular fmf silencer, if not stick out farther then that

that is just the way the fmf spark arrestor is it is the same housing as the power-core but extended to incorporate the spark arrestor in the end my buddy has one and it looks the same as yours

im worried if i do cut it that the arrestor isnt going to work like it should. I was thinking of cutting the mid pipe back and moving the brackets back about three inches
