| i was thinking of getting a 2 inch manuel vehicle dash gauge and making a bracket for it to attach to the handle bars but i kinda think that may be a little bigand the temp only goes to 280. is that high enough?

| Yeah theres no way your bike should be running at 280 so that should be plenty high enough.

| I guess more people dont do it because I would imagine the way you want to do it would cost almost as much as the ones from ebay and would take more work to make it work. I have to say though it would be pretty nice to have the gauge on there I think it would be nice. Yould could look down and see it easily. I dont know how those types of gauges work though. Where did you get the temperature strips at SBLT? Id like to have something like that.

| what do you guys think of this. A 1 1/2 mechanical temp gauge from jegs or summit with an under dash bezel then take the bezel and attach it to the plastics just under the bars then run the temp line to the top of the radiator and tap a hole ion the top then insert a sensor. do you think mounting the gauge to the plastics would hold up and or look good

| I think it sounds like a good idea. I think the plastics would hold the gauge the good. Im not so sure about tapping your radiator. Thats some pretty thin aluminum. You could do a small hole and braze it maybe. When your done post a parts list and the price. I would love to do this on my R.
