Default cylinder porting blues !!

Okay i just bought a new LT 250 88-91 .this is my second LT, the kids dad i got it from has been telling us for years how damn fast this quad is and how he had it ported. so in a round about way i acquire it and get it running good and it runs like a CR85 no bottom no mid just top and even that overevs quick so i put my 38mm mikuni TM and v-force reads and a newer power-core silencer off my other quad on it. and it helped the top end some but no change down low. my other LT that has slightly enlarged boost ports and is 0.060 over would blow its doors off . so what i am going to do is run my other jug for now because my other cases are junk . and get the one i am taking off re-ported . so who would you LT250 pros suggest to do the job

Theres a big flotek banner at the top of the page. I would say Q , but hes backed up for a while. You can check moto814.com too, hes pretty good as well.

well it will surely need measured and checked over to see if it is ported way wrong way... way aggresive for drag only or if theres another issue involved like a very worn bore post some pics and get some measurements and i can try to give yo u an idea of what can be done

OK I'll get some measurements of the exhaust port. i can tell the booster ports haven't been touched. as far as the head being shaved where should i measure from to get a correct measurement? I was thinking from the mating surface to a cut out for one of the head stud nuts

Top end might just be weak too, did you check the compression?

not yet my guage isnt in the best shape anymore . but my buddy has one i need to grab from him . but as of right now i am hella sick so it might take me a few day's to get around to it
