Default 85-90 Rear Shocks The Same?

Hey everyone, My rear shock on my 88 Lt just went, and rather than rebuild it, I want to buy another one. I found a guy with a rear shock off an 86 for real cheap. Will this fit my 88? Need responses fast, some other guy is interested in it to!!

Thanks

Mike

they are not the same !
the 85-86's mounting eyes are narrower they will fit but you need to shim them or they will bend & stress the swing arm

Thanks a lot guys. I think I'll get the shock and use washers or something to make the mounting points wider. Thanks again for your help.
