you can unscrew the plug from your head and ground it out on the head bolts as long as its still in the plugwire. just kick your motor over a few times and look/listen for the spark.

good luck...

If you don't see any spark jumping from the cap to the head bolt, drink a few beers, put a plug in the cap, hold the plug in your left hand and kick the bike once or twice and it will let you know if there is any spark.

hahhaaha, ive done this on accident (without the beers sadly) a few times - it didnt feel to nice. If you have a new plug be sure to use that too - its possible your plug could just be bad.

theres a thread i had going recently (should be on the first page or two "no spark...") that has some good electrics info in there. Mostly the info sblt500r hooked me up with on testing your stator parts if you still dont have spark.

good luck man!

Check your spark plug cap. Mine was worn and loose. Intermittent contact, made it run really useless! Fold up a little piece of aluminum foil put it on top of the plug and slide your cap back over it. If it works for you like it did for me, then just pick up a new cap!

I always get a unsuspecting kid like 14 year old know it all and tell him to hold the spark plug for a second then kick it over he'll let you know if its got spark.
