Default 1987 LT250R what shocks to use??

Looking to get an increase in my quads performance. What shocks are you guys using? I have noticed several LT's in the profiles out there the have both aftermarket and take-offs from other companies. What works best? I am going to be doing heavy trail and recreational MX riding mostly. Thanks!

you can not go wrong with elka's.....there tonnes of diffrent series out there so do some reading on what shocks are used for what riding style so you dont end up with like a dune shock for MX riding ...as fare as other manufactuers thats like yfz front shocks on banshees and honda 450r front shocks on 400ex is the most popular around here

Elka's for the fronts are a good choice for MX/trails. I think that the z400 rear shock is only for the 91-92 years.

thanks guys. any confirmation on the year for the rear shock. I can find the take-offs pretty easily but I want to make sure I dont waste money on stuff that wont work.
