Where are you at in OK? What is your clutch doing or not doing?

well have u adjusted the cable at all on lt250rs there is a spot where the clutch cable screws into the clutch side of the case. u need to adjust down there start by screwing the adjuster on the perch all the way in. Then tighten this one on the bottom about 1/2 way in start it up and see if it works if it doesnt u may have a stripped out clutch engager by this i mean the metal piece that runs down into the case on oil fill side that the cable hooks too. This could cause clutch not to engage or disengage. let me know if this helps if not i will look at mine and see if i can tell u what too look for.

I'd check the clutch adjustment first.

A common problem with the LT's is:

The stock clutch perch had the emergency brake assy. incorporated with the clutch assy.
What happens is when you let the clutch out, it generally hangs up on the emergency brake pin on the perch assy. not allowing the cluch lever to fully release.

are you talking about the little aluminum piece that goes on the rod or the rod itself, the rod wont stay in the case, grrrr its not like the old three wheelers im used to. I need to get a book.
when i first got the quad he told me the clutch was screwed but i started it up and it didnt do anything but later that day it went into gear and i rode it to town and did just fine for a while and then it started slipping. Couple days later i put new clutches in it and here i am like it was b4. i hope this explains it better.

Unhook the cable from the lower perch and see if you can kick it in gear. this will tell you if its the clutch lever/cable or the clutch its self
