First off I would like to say this is an awesome site.This is my 1987 lt250r.I bought this machine brand new in sept 88.I have since rebuilt it twice and have just about every aftermarket part on it.This has been a great quad for me it was raced for 4 years 1989-1992 since the big 2 stroke ban I have kept it and have been riding it well for 20 years now..Damn I am getting old..LOL.I have rebuilt the engine twice with complete new bottem end bearings hot rod crank and connecting rod etc.The top is still the 87 cylinder with a 310 kit ported and polished from trinity racing way back in 1996.It still runs wicked strong and for a 20 year old quad still raises eyebrows at the local track.I have replaced the frame twice and swingarm once.It has all new pivot works seals and bearings throughout the entire machine.Extended + 4 dura blue eliminator axle and lock dura blue hubs.+2+1 full flight a-arms with asr tie rods and heim joints.kand k modified steering stem and clamp with fly aero bars.I am currently running 40-13 gearing and with 22 inch tires is a perfect combo for sandy pitts.Believe it or not the plastics are 16 years old and still in great shape.The seatcover was replaced about a year ago.It has a full dg nickel national pipe and silencer with boyeson reeds and the stock carb rejetted for the pipe.Many aftermarket billet parts and addons as you can see from the pics.I was running 03 400ex front shocks but it made the front end squrriely and changed the steering geometry dramaticly so I put the stockers back on for now.I am hoping to get a set of works shocks in the future.Overall I really love this quad and being that its an old school smoker really gets alot of attention around here.It flat out flys and no disrespect to the newer 4 strokes is almost untouchable.Here are a few pics enjoy..If it aint mixed gas it aint fast.Been beating the hell out of this quad for twenty years now and it still kicks azz.Gotta love the old school 2 strokes..Ride safe....

Well it seems you have found the greatest site for any information on your machine. Another Lt250r is always welcome.
Origional owner....It hard to find that nowdays.....
Beautiful Machine, Im sure it will give you another 20 Years of Great service.

I am hoping to hand it down to my little guy some day.He has been riding since 4 years old and now is 9 so I hope that he will take my old lt and let er rip like she was meant to do.But I will enjoy it till then...
