Default Front master cylinder swap

Ok heres the deal I bought an ASV brake lever for my 85 lt. I made the mistake of getting the generic one that will swap between several different years and models of dirtbikes thinking that I could get it to work maybe with a small mod. Well the piece that pushes the piston in on the master cylinder isn't long enough so that one ain't happening. Which brings me to my question does anyone see any reason why I couldn't swap it out with one from a cr250. I am thinking CR because the brake line routes on the side rather than the front like the YZ and RM does. Give me some feedback let me know what you think!!!

I would think that you could, Just make sure that each master cylinder pushes that same amount of fluid.

The pistons in a dirt bike master cylinder are smaller than the one's in a quad master cylinder. It might not push enough brake fluid or hold enough pressure. But the only way to know for sure is to try it.

I'm watching one on ebay right now its gotta be cheaper to try and swap the master cylinder than to by another asv. Gonna give it a shot hopefully it will work out thanks all
