85-86 Ignition Coil Same as 87+? ? ? ?

I have been looking for a new ignition coil , but cant find one thats for a 86

The 87+one they have pictured looks exactly the same as mine

Is there a difference in the two? and can I use a 87+ on my 86 ?

they should be the same but check and find out what the coil resistance is for the 86's, 88-92 from + terminal to ground should be between 0-1.0 ohms, and from the plug cap to + terminal should be from 11-17 kilaohms. thats just to double check but i cant see why they wouldnt be interchangable.

Same part, different part numbers. 85-86 CDI is only electrical item that cant be swapped with the rest of the 250/500's.

might have a different length coil wire or something stupid. but all the lt coils do swap.

If you have a little extra cash, you should realy look into the Nology coil....
The Preformance is secondto none...

Unfortunately Im a little broke right now .... i will be looking into that in the future
