Default My New 85 Lt250r yee

hey i got a 85 Lt 250r

i had to chop and stack 7 cords of wood for it my dads friend then he gave it 2 me ha

i took her for her 1st ride yesterday she still goes pretty good shes been setting for about 8 years.

its pretty rusted up but nothing some sand & paint cant fix :P
it will be a good project for the summer.



what r peoples thoughts on Twist Throttles Vs Thumb???

Yup, she needs some elbow grease. Get that turd polished up and it will be fine. I prefer a thumb throttle on a quad like there meant for. Twist throttles are for dirt bikes and drag quads if you prefer that.

Nice lt250r, Id chop & stack for that too.
I prefer the twist throttle, but I ride dunes.
I would not want the twist in the woods or trails....

so i need some new tires on the rear

i am not sure if i want 2 use the stock rims or the smaller one? thats on it now.

u can c the 2 sets in the pics the quad is geared for the small ones.

so if i do put on the original rims
- what is a ok tire for under 100$$$? each
- and whats a good sprocket ratio for the stock rims? because right now it is geared for the smaller rims. so im told.

As for the throttle personally I would look into the terry cable dual gasser it is both thumb and twist best of both worlds for tires I like the maxxis razr's I have no complaints about them gears it all depends on what you a looking for and where you ride at.

the quad is all stock its .30 over i think
small rims and rear tires
the fuckin rear brake is in a box in the back of the shop hah

awesome deal. although 7 quarts of wood is quite a bit of wood lol but deffinitly well worth it, I would have jumped on that in a second.
