Default Air Box install, Stupid question.

OK I finally got my new air box for my lt250r. How far do I have to tear down my quad to get the box in?
It does not just slide in.
Do I have to take carb off and com ein through the front?

The 87-90 are a pain in the arse.I have dropped the rear shock and linkage to get them through the back and pulled the carb and engine..Yes engine to get it through the front. With a little contorsion you shoulb be able to get it in there taking just the carb off but I found that through the back above the swinger is easiest..just let the swinger extend to its max and it should give you enough clearance...

remove the rear suspension, and unbolt the rear master cylinder. then let the swingarm drop as far as it will go, and then remove the stock box. also have to remove the rear fender.

its more work than it should be but thats the easiest way! its that way for the 85-90 lt250r's

I removed the pivot bolt for rear suspension and that gave me enough room to slide air box in from the side and mount it...
