My question is can you replace the water pump seal without breaking the case apart? After I got the top end rebuilt I noticed water driping out the weep hole. I also changed the oil and it was almost the color of vasaline. very milky. Am I correct in assuming that the water pump seal is the problem. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I ordered an oil seal and shaft seal from a deaer yesterday. Any tips on the install?

You probably should get the shaft too. I just did the seal replacement about a month ago and the weep hole has already started to leak coolant again. I should have replaced the pump shaft as well. As far as the install, it is really easy, use a good proper size socket to seat the seals and you should have no problems. But I do recommend replacing the pump shaft as well.
