450 is dirt cheap, but depending on what a "complete engine rebuild" is, it could easily cost you over 1000 bucks. But i would probably buy it.

That isn't that bad of a price. my bro bought a 91 for 800 and it ran. it also had a shit of mods down to it.

well i think the guy told me it needed the top end rebuilt and a new crankshaft so idk do you guys think its a good deal or not (most likely going to get it)

if it needs to much then take it apart and sell peice buy peice on ebay and easly tripple your money and buy another one those parts all sell fast on ebay clean them first and you will get more $$$$ good luck

well i've been wanting this quad for a long time but really just want to buy and keep is it hard to replace a crankshaft?

no i dont think so have you ever tore one down before if not remember all screws and nuts bolts have lock thread on them the clutch and cant remember but one bolt to the right of clutch they both have reverse threads if you have a digital camera just take a bunch of pics at every step of teardown so you know where everything goes back if you can count the threads on clutch bolt and on the gears to the right of it so when you put it back together you know how tight to put it you have to use a air impact to remove those bolts it is to hard to find something to hold basket so it doesnt turn when removing nut once you get ready to split cases just use a rubber mallet and tap where the rod is to help seperate cases DO NOT use a screwdriver to pry apart sorry if this is to much info didnt know how much you know good luck i will check back to see how you are doing
