Unhappy memorial weekend F-up

so i took the quad up to mio over the weekend and hit some orv trails for the first time since rebuilding the top half and when on my way back the motor seized up and stopped in the middle of the trail, i tried to kick it over but couldnt get it to budge so my buddy tried and got it to kick twice but would kick over after that it seemed seized or something, so come to find out one of the people behind me said they saw a steady stream of something leaking out the bottom as i rode right before it broke down......this totally sucks i just bought a new fmf turbine core exhaust before i left and shit and now i cant ride it, the coolant in the radiator looked real low and was full when i hit the trail...it was getting really hot and coolant was coming out the top somewhere but idk im bummed! we rode like 125 miles and i think that was too much on her!

what do you guys think? think its the piston seized from case fluid leaking out or what?

well with the 85-86 lt's you really gotta watch how hot the engine is and take the time to stop and let it cool down no matter how bad you dont want to...the cylinders like to chip around the ports when they get hot and the engine isnt made of the right kind of aluminum i think thats why all the quadracer heads ive ever seen are beat badly....also could just be you overheated your crank and the crank just locked up...cause when my topend went i could still kick it over

That sucks man. I bet you either seized piston or the crank. And if the cooland was low, you problably blew the head gasket also.
I drove near last weekend and it looked like alot of people were riding. Makes me want to go riding soooo bad.

125 miles+wide open throttle=serious motor destruction

Pull the motor out and start rippin her apart, I am very interested to read about what it may be. My guess is that you overheated it and possibly bent the crank, but what do I know....
