I think he (apachepride) means a stepped key like the vitos keys for shees. Moving the stator is a better way...those keys arent availiable for suzi's that I've seen, and from what i've seen some people have good luck with keeping them in one piece....others break em every time you turn around...and theyre a little pricey when you can slot the stator plate for free. Grinding on your original woodruff key is just not a good idea any way you look at it. if you want to change timing like that, in reality you have to grind on half of one side of it, and add metal to half of the other so the bottom (round) side fits into the crank as normal, but the moved upper half shifts the flywheel whichever direction you need. More trouble than its worth. if you just grind on the key....then it doesnt fit the slot anymore....then your flywheel walks back and forth and changes the timing unwantedly, if it doesn't snap the key first, like nelson said.
