Default cylinder install question???

I have a 86 Suzuki Lt250r, I am trying to put the cylinder back on, but not sure if there is some easy way to do it. I broke one of the compression tabs of the rings at the bottom of the cylinder off. So I do have another cylinder now, just don't want to do the same thing again. Any good tricks to getting it back on? Thanks

i seem to have luck if i put a little bit of premix oil on the inside of the cylinder, then i hold the rings in tight with my left hand and lower the cylinder with the right, there should be those curved gaps on both sides of the sleeve and the bottom of the cylinder so you should be able to get it started, some times a little twisting of the cylinder gets the rings locked into position and gets the cylinder far enough down, then you just make sure to straighten it up and push the cylinder down evenly.

***make sure your ring break/gap is located over that little pin deal in the groove on the piston or you will never get that cylinder over the piston**

PS also make sure you put the base gasket on before you get the cylinder started, i don't know how many times my dumb ass has done that...

It also helps if you take the gas tank off it gives you a little more room to work in there
