I don't know about installing one, but when I tried to remove the shaft on my '92 I broke a C-clamp trying to press it out with a socket. I tried to just beat it out with a hammer and thought I was gonna break the case! Said to hell with it, let it leak.

you can tap it in with a socket. there should be a rubber and metal washer for the impeller bolt. use the zuki bond on the mech seal like the manual says.
