Anyone know where to find a descent swinger for a 86 LT250R? Everyone I see on ebay is cracked. Any info would be awesome, thanks guys.

I have another one that isn't cracked, but it does have a chunk out of the material that surrounds the bearing carrier... I can get pics if your interested, PM me. ($45 shipped to your door)

if you can find the bearing carrier as well the 87-90 swingarms will work on it too

Yea you are right... if you can find an 87-90 with the round house carrier you can still use your 85-86 axle... And if you keep your 85-86 axle you can swap to a rear banshee hub so you have some more options for wheels

I would check ebay again I just saw one on there tonight that wasn't cracked, I was debating whether or not to bid on it just because it would be nice to have not necessarily IF mine breaks but WHEN it breaks. Where at in Iowa are you located? My local bike shop just gave me a number for a salvage yard near Desoto to try, haven't called them yet but it might be worth a shot.

There are a couple of them on ebay right now. Also I just ordered one from Metal Tech and those guys are great to work with. Answered all of my questions and hopefully I will have it later next week.

Nothing wrong with it besides for it somehow got shaved down.
I was riding with this swingarm for 10 hours (to break in the engine), only noticed it once I tore it down for paint.

87-90 box style swing arm would have worked and since the axles are the same for all years then you could have used that too. I have one for sale and it is a hell of a lot cheaper than $420.
