Exclamation Clutch Help

I have a LT250R Quadracer, this is my first year riding and i only know the minor stuff about riding. My clutch isn't working, when i pull the lever it doenst grab any thing and doesnt come back, i recently bought a new cable, but i think that it is to short. The Clutch arm thingy where the cable connects to doesn't go back to the orginal spot, should there be a spring on it? If you can help me, much thanks i have msn a_carnes@msn.com add me and we can chat more about it. thanks a lot

Sounds like you may need to pull the clutch cover off. Does the clutch arm, on the engine itself, move freely or is there resistance? Your first step is to jump over to the manuals section and download the manual.

Your average joe would need a pair of pliers to budge the clutch actuator against the baskets spring resistance. If it moves more than 1/2 inch by fingers alone, you need to take the clutch cover off.

well i dont know about the pliers thing cuz i got heavy duty springs in my tecate and i can move it by hand....but it is a real bitch to move, even with the stock springs it was. so you might be missing something in the clutch..is the ball bearing there? are all the plates there?

Doesnt use a ball bearing and pin, the whole clutch actuator assembly is in the clutch cover. It pulls the clutch open rather than pushes like the tecate does.
