Default I want a 4-stroke killer!

I have mild mystery porting, v-force reeds, and fmf exhaust. Will a bigger carb and better pipe be enough? I can beat 400's, but I want to put a hurt on the 450's. I dont want a different bike, but I need more performance. I am considering the ftz pipe and carb, but I dont wanna spend that kind of money, unless I get big results.... Anybody have a recipe for a fast lt?

lots of ways to make more power and chassy setup is just as important . bigger carb,better pipe , higher compression more radical port work can make all the difference

ftz does good work. their pipe and cylinder head and carb would definetly make a difference.

i think you bike should be a 4 stroke killer with the mods you have on it, my 86lt is ported polished fmf pipe carbon fiber reeds k and n air box eliminator 80 over, i put a whoppin on the 400ex's around here which are all done up 416-440 kits.
your bike should fly man

I do the same with my built 86.But my HRC kitted and piped 06trx450r spanks my lt!!But the LT is 20 years old...

The qaud is a 1990. It has a fresh topend, it makes 150psi while kicking @wot. Guys in a different thread I posted said that was pretty weak for an lt. I dont know. What are some typical compression numbers? It runs great, its just not "fast."

i get abot 175-180psi. i have a thinner material head gaskets, supposed to help with compression.
