I Cant Find Shi* For My Quad

I cant figure anything out.....im hearing its an 85 nor 86 then people are telling me its an 88.....so with out the year i cant get the wiring i need for it....This 4-wheeler is going down hill to me thought i was going to ride it about 2 weeks ago but i still cant get the YEAR

your engine looks like an 85/86 to me, 87 and later all have Exhaust valves, which would be clearly visible. I say take a look at all the pictures in the picture section, and find an 85/86 motor, and an 87 and up motor, you'll see a difference.
You could go into my photo album, I've got a picture of my lt engine, if it looks like mine, then its 85/86

Your quad is a 85/86...No question about it...Take a picture of the other side of the motor for everyone also...

click the transmission through the gears and see if it has 5 or 6 speeds. the 85&86 had 5. 87-up had 6. also the exhaust will have the powervalve in it if it is an 87-up like chad said.

its an 85-86. the frame is 2. you can tell by the front shock mounts. if you want to tell exactly what year it is, look at the 10th digit on the frame vin number. F is 85 and G is 86
