first thing i would check is the compression.is there good fuel and oil in it also.it may be a tired topend and need a rebuild.if so you may wanna consider some portwork while its apart.if you dont wanna spend the time/money on it i may know someone that would take it off your hands.

I'd say you have a problem. My LT250R will beat down Predators with pipes all day.

I rode a freshly rebuilt Zilla that was for sale. I called the mechanic who rebuilt it and he said it was jetted rich. The quad was a dog until the top of third gear but still never pulled real hard. The low end torque was great but I told the seller my 250 could beat it in the condition it was in. So maybe poor jetting or something affecting your jetting?

Same problem I had when we un-moth-balled my buddies zilla.

New plug - gap to .60
New head gasket
New uni air-filter
Adjust power valve to stock setting
Check the reeds - make sure they are in stock specs
Run your fuel mixture around 36:1.

I would start there

Next move to checking compression, it may need a new piston and rings.

You should be tearing up the competition.

I find that 1st and 2nd are good lugging gears. The zilla doesn't come alive until 3rd and I dune all day long in that gear. When I race I start in 2nd. This is after gearing the front sprocket down a tooth. Been riding a long time and I ride fast. I haven't gotten the zilla to the top of 5th yet.
