Default I have a couple of problems.

i have a 1989 lt500r and I just took the FMF fatty pipe off and replaced it with a Ct Outlaw pipe. It have amazing high end power but I have lost some low end torque. It hesitates at low RMP. I have to wind it out for it to rip. Man its fast on the top end. Am I running to lean or rich? The other thing is that when I run it real hard and grab the clutch the bike sounds like its trying to lean out and I have to drop the clutch so the rpms will drop again. I check all places for leaks and I cant find any. Do you think it has something to do with the carb? And if it is what carb should I get to replace it?. My lt500 is pretty much stock, Its getting close to its last bore and Im running a 90mm piston It has new rings, piston, reeds, fresh bore, cool head with a stock dome size, Ct outlaw pipe and A fresh bottom end as well. How should I set it up? Carb and jetting. Im at 1500 feet. Please help. It runs good and I think I have had it with the stock carb. Thank you guys very much.

sounds like it might be a little lean on the pilot jet and/or needle setting.

Sounds like a good pipe.

Reason why it's leaning out is you have reduced the restriction at the exhaust which allows more air to come in and requires more fuel. If you don't adjust to allow for more fuel then you will have a lean issue. Sound like you need to turn-out the idle mixture screw a turn. The manufacture should beable to give you a good idea how far the mixture screw should be turned out.
