SBDesigns LT500R Clamp on air filter modification

Here's the solution to the 500 airbox's shoddy design. A handmade clamp on adapter. Made from aluminum and won't distort when you tighten the clamps. The stock airbox boot clamps on the outside, and on the inside, a trx250r airfilter is used. With this you will be sure the filter is sealed and not leaking!

Some slight airbox mods are required. removing the stock filter cage, drilling 2 holes to mount the aluminum, and to drill a 1 inch hole in the top of the box to tighten the clamp on the filter.

I will be selling them with and without a filter. Stainless hardware will be included, to mount the clamp in the box, which only supports it, no sillicone needed. PM or email me if anyone is interested. They'll be in my store shortly.

Any chance of that bracket to be modded to be used with out the air box??
is it more than the duncan (ABS/PVC) set up?

yes you can use this without the airbox. you would just have to make up some way of supporting it to the frame. it doesn't need the box, thats more for waterproofing. and it bolts to the box to support it. and this would be easier to mount to the frame than the duncan piece. if i have time i'll try and make up a mount so you can run it without the box.

on the forums and in my store i'm going to sell them for $65 shipped with a foam filter. or without a filter $40 shipped. i only have a few filters so don't everyone want a whole set up!
