Default comp and runs wierd

ok the lt500 needs a helping hand my compretion is 110 108 105 the top end is only out of brackin kicked ity over till the gauge stoped with wot it does run but smokes alott here is the card setting 450 main 25 pilet a 6dk3 needle clip on the 3rd slot air screw 1.5 turns out and a open air filter now i was told it is drag ported but in a nother thread on that i dont think it is anything to try would help thanks all i was also told that the compression should be 160 to 170 and it is on its last bore

You got something going on in that engine. I've never had less than 190psi on a fresh rebuild. I've got 7 monthes on mine right now and it's sitting at 180. Just for the hell of it, try a few drops of 10w-40 in the plug hole then do the comp check again.

What model carb is it?

430 main, 35 pilot, It sounds like the rings are shot. Pull the head and find out. Run 32:1 mixture and run a high octane fuel. Have fun.

No. I'm running a stock head. Knock off maybe .010 as I'm using a copper head gasket.

ok i ripped it down today and it seemed that the rings were not sealing so new ring upper kit on order i hope it takes care of it and there was oil on the top of the piston dont think it was sapost to be there
