 fuel starvation I picked up mt 500 a little over a year ago and before the season in AZ starts for the dunes again i wanted to get some things cleared up. On my first few runs out, i would be climbing to top speed and the bike would shut down. Starting right away is not easy as the motor is starved of fuel. So my question is if anyone has had this problem... I run with a fuel filter on my lt250, however when i purchased the 500 it didnt have one... i was highly considering putting one on, and also thinking about adding another fuel line or two so it doesnt cut out. Anyone have any thoughts????? also looking for nerf bars if anyone can lead me to a set... I can weld steel with my mig, so some crappy steel ones would work unless there is a manufacturer anyone knows of... I appreciate the help from the 500 lovers thx      |

| awesome. I have found a few websites that carry the DG bars, however DG stopped making them, so i dont know if they havent updated their sites or not... i appreciate the help |

| I run a filter on mine and have never had a problem. cLEAN THE CARB AND take the tank off and clean it form the inside out. Those carbs should never starve. They have the ability to make a 547 big bore kit run to rich to run. I know I have done it.

| sounds like your float my be set too low and its not leting enough gas in the carb at high rpms or i would pull the pit cock off and make shure the screens arent pluged
