Break-in time

Hey guys, I just rebuilt the top end on the zilla and was wondering what you guys do for breaking in the piston and what not. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I always putt around for about 5 minutes then I ride like I always would and I mix the oil a little rich I dont know why I just do.

This subject has mixed feelings. So people say do one or two heat cycles and let her rip. Others say only up to 3/4 throttle for 1 tank of gas. I personally go the slow route and do a tank full for my break in. I got 6yrs out my 250 top end before I rebuilt it. The 500 is going on 2 years. No probs and they both run strong. -Mark
