Default 39 pwk air idle setting

finley spent the money on a 39pwk for the 89 500 im going with a 190 main and a 60 pilet that sounds right to start at im hopping so where would i put the idle screw 1 turn 2 turn any idea im new to the keihin carb world got here for 240 shipped with k&n and outerwear

hell yeah.....
your definitely close with the jetting. Thats exactly what I'm running right now, but I'm a hair on the rich side. your running a bigger bore and sounds like a lot more badass of portwork than I, so you might be dead nuts with yours. i run my idle screw 1.5 turns out. Mine idles nicely and starts right up now that I switched to AV100LL fuel.

ya i keep getting pissed at the stocker and it smoked really bad so got rings fresh hone job and new crank seals now i just need to get the carb and set the timing back to stock this is the last piece i needed anyway the shop i deal with did the port work for the guy i bougt the quad off of and said its got a national port job and should have 80 to 85 horse with the set up and jetted right , i just want it done

Killer......definitely set the timing back where it should. Zillas don't like the timing being toyed with like a shee or blaster

from ebay just sherch 39 pwk or keihin carb it comes from a ebay store hy-tech atv the carb was 179 stock cable works he said but ill see added k&n and outerwear for 45 he also threw in 1 main and 1 pilet to what i whanted

ok i got the cab today whent to put it on and the stock cable is to short i wish thay would of told me it wouldnt work and the k&n thay sold me hits the shock so know im making a snorkel tube so it clears the shock and will be ordering a cable this sucks

i use a 39 pwk and i had to trim a small amount of the cable sleeve back to get full travel, i use a 55 pilot and 175 main but still trying to dial it in just right.
