| Need help on plastic cracking. Is there any special trick to keep hood and front fenders from cracking out. The hood is cracking at the very front of the piece with the 2 bolt holes. The front fenders are cracking under the hood where they bolt to frame. O.E.M plastic is not cheap so trying to preserve it at all cost. |

| I dont know if you want to try it or not but I have hear of people drilling small holes at the end of the crack to stop it from spreading.

| Drill holes, 1/8 in. bit works. then, carefully fill the hole & crack with Barge Cement & wipe away excess. Do this a couple times to fill the drilled hole, the adhesive adds strength. this is a hardware store 'snot' type glue, like 3M weatherstrip adhesive(works well too). It is strong yet slightly flexible. I hear ya.... the stock OEM plastics need more urethane in them, likke the newer quads. I just spent $650 oin oem plastics too, and my hood is cracking badly at the seat corners. SUCKS.
