Default 38 A/s

Hey guys,

Just picked up an LT500 and trying to do a total run thru on her before I trust it out in the desert. I have a new 38mm A/S sitting around that I owul like to thow in but I need a starting point for jetting. I don't believe the engine has has work done to it other than a cool head. Its got stock pipe and elevation is probably around 1500.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Brian

i don't have one on my 500 yet, but i have been reading alot on here about jetting for them and i am probally going to start about 180-185 on the main and 55-60 on the pilot with about the same set up as you have. Mine is going to be piped so i am going to start at 185 and maybe you might start at 180. i think you will be close probally a little rich but that never hurts

stock at 1500ft. start with 58 pilot and a 165-172 main. I helped a friend restore his with a 39mm and it was 58 pilot and 172 main, spot on jetting for the machine. I live at around the same elevation. His machine was also stock.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!
