How did you guys come across your zilla?

So I started out with a 2003 Yamaha Blaster, I was just too big for it and it didnt have enough power. I knew I wanted a zilla! So i put it on craigslist, traded it for a 2000 yz250, then traded that for a 2003 yz250f, then traded that for my zilla
I did it all through craigslist in about a month, and I couldnt be happier with my 88. Wasn't the easiest quad to get a hold of, but after alot of looking, I finally found her and am slowly in the process of replacing/upgrading everything. Little off topic, but just thought I'd share.

Gord is that you? Well I got mine when I had a little extra cash back 3 years ago. I bought it from a kid that his daddy bought it for him in 2001. It was perfect when he got it and when I got it.............well all can say is that kid was a retard. the quad was a mish mosh of ace hardware nuts and bolt. Anyway 3 years later it is a 547cc quad with all the power I need but of course I want more so the saga continues. Oh ya. I got it for $1200 and I have no idea what i have in it. I know that quad inside and out to say the least.

Yup, its me. Yeah this guy thrashed it, had a clamp on air filter that was caked in mud, rims that barely fit. Not much compression, really the only good things on it were the plastics and that pipe you have now.

I purchased mine in 1990, found it in a cycle trader for 3000. The guy I bought it from rode it twice and flipped it over backwards on top of himself and was scared of it. It was brand new except for the scratch on the rear grab bar. It's been with me ever since and I've put so much time and money into it I don't think I could ever sell it.

I used to race atv mx years ago and have not rode for years.Finally purchased a street bike pulled into someones yard we were riding with and there it was rusted up frozen in time.Got it for 1000$ brought it home thinking then i my head what did i get into. This thing needs Alooooot of work.went the next day purchased the 08ltr450 then realized that it will never be like rideing a 2 stroke then desided to do a frame up restoration of the lt500 and i am now almost to the end off the build.

sadly i started of with a 230 quad sport an enough was enough seen mine on ebay told the guy id be there the next day an bought it blown up........ 3 weeksl ater ive been rippppppppping it ever since, ill never sell my zilla im keeping it as long as i live

I feal the same way about my zilla.When i brought it home everyone was saying thats a big piece of crap why did you buy it .Obviously they dont no what 2 strokes are about because there brains are in a fog with these 4 stroke tracters,,,I will bring my 500 to the grave... I will post pics of the progress as soon as i figure out how...

Same quad I started off with. Put a DG pipe and k&n on it and realized that's about as far as it was gonna go lol. Then the chain broke one day and cracked the case and i sold it couple days after
