Default Getting A Little Slow

Hey it seems to be a bit slow around here so thought i would open a new one.....What is your personal opinion for bang for the buck for you zilla??? I don't care if it is cosmetic or custom or for performance lets hear it...

first, i guess would be to fix the head. than bigger carb and aftermarket pipe. i would not go with the FMF though. than maybe some porting.

yeah question...everybody always talks about getting the 87's head worked on but nobody ever says what is getting done...to keep it from blowin what has to be done??? is it bigger studs????

The squish angle needs to be fixed, the studs should be upgraded and you should run a copper head gasket.

The cheapest bang for a buck zilla combo would be Billet thrust washers, pt pipe, rxed carb, v2 reeds and the head mods, no blow gaskets and a welded flywheel. Not the fastest, but certainly more reliable than stock.

The ideal combo would be porting, Qpipe, v2 reeds, Thrust washers, reinforced mounting ears, the head and stud mods, rxed piston, sleeved cases, heavy clutch springs, lightened welded flywheel and no blow gaskets.

The high power combo would be a 540hrd duner and all the extras mentioned above except a larger 48mm carb.

Its all about how fast you want to go and your budget.

V2's are the way to go. But for the added 1-2 hp is it worth changing. Unless you are drag racing.
