LOL who ever Q uses t do them thats funny ! Look I been to the Q lab, a few times, when he is in Carb mode he does em in a assembly line , plus being as anal as Q gets on his parts going out , the man is a perfectionest! his sweat on the LT is our gain,.
cost wise depends if he likes ya or are ya whiny pain in da azz but 75 to 85 for carb sounds right for a good 88 on up, hey I ran the Bored PJ38 and a bored 39 PWK both were great carbs but the Rx carb wins hands down, Q also likes that 44 mikuni and dont be surprised if he doset have one on Pamela for next zillathon to whoop some Olds HIll Azz also, I just hope that new Air Filter system he is working can be done by then.

The last question you have to ask yourself, most builders would just slap on a PWK A.S or Lectron Gas shooter, not Q LOL taking the time to R/D a 20 year carb to out perform the others, to me that pure talent to even think about re configuring machining and testing to build a strong fast reliable Zilla !

that all there is say

I think I speak for the masses on this site. If one wants to learn about Q's stuff, they know where to go.

Oh yeah, ERBE when you ran that pwk did you change needles or experiment with any changes on it. No doubt Q has that dinosaur dialed in. He has been playing with it for 20 yrs.

Nuff said.

funny how every LT thread turns into a Dr. Q thread. not complaining, just an observation.

hahahaha yeah, sometimes it gets pretty heated lol. Funny thing is you never hear from Q himself here, but the minions are always willing to throw in his .02 lol

I changed needles 3 to 4 times, worked with Harry from Trinity and Rusty Hadly from SCR days, got close would but would never Idle right.

Im running my Rx carb fat still for breaking on the new cylinder, but idles great and freaking great Midrange and topend!! easy to adjust the idle no messing with turning the choke knob, easy access to the idle adjustment screw, stock cable hell I even polished mine!

Q need lil RX Q Blue Chrome stickers to put on the Float bowls LOLOLOL

Those are some nice shiny parts Erbe, pretty soon yours might be as shiny as mine lol. Ive never had a problem with idle and have experamented with many, many needles in a pwk. Pulls great from top to bottom.

By the way just to let you know, since you did so much experimenting with a pwk, that you dont adjust the idle with the choke knob on a pwk.

ERBE, Dr. Q just posted a thread that he is farming out all of his work for the summer so that he can do R&D work. Thus the reason for my statement about whoever he has do it for him. He said it himself, so don't come barking.

BTW, I think it's cool what Q does with the carbs. Like I've said a dozen times it seems like now, I'd just spend the extra to got the friggen lectron. What's the harm in that? And why does no one seem to realize you can buy the lectron in whatever size your little heart desires?
