| There are two circlips one on each side. use a small scrwdriver or pick to remove either of them. then use a socket that is just the right side to slide into the pin hole in the piston. slightly tap the socket unitll the pin starts to move. The circlips are the hardest part of the while ordeal.

| Don't tap it if it's jammed, i used a c clamp with a socket on the rear end to press it out! Replace it if damaged though!

| you will have to replace it. not because its stuck, but because all 500 wrist pins will get a groove worn in them from the steel trust washers. you'll see whan you get it out. |

| Its like a $5 piece your better off replacing it while you have it all apart then to get couple months down the road and have to replace a top end and maybe even a bottom end because of it.

| Okay, so I'll replace it. I am replacing the wrist pin bearing with a rm250 bearing (highly recomended) and I was going to replace the stock thrust washers with Dr. Q's billet washers. Also with his copper gaskets. New reeds, maybe some paint (motor) and a freshly cleaned K+n and I hope to up and running. Shit, I need an impeller too...... Anything else I should replace will I'm here???

| I usally replace everything when I redo a top end, I also have a hard time with my piston pin wearing two grooves from the thhrust washers.

| Good news!!! Its out!!! Used a four inch "c" clamp. I bought one with rubber feet on both ends, so as to not damage the piston. Worked great. Thanks for the suggestion. There is really no wear on the pin, because there were NO FRIGGIN THRUST WASHERS THERE!!! The top was recently rebuit, previous owner claimed it has 10 hrs at the most on it. I will still replace the pin anyway, it wouldn't hurt.
