New Member Asking For Advise

Him new here I have been watching this forum for a while now and would like some advise. I currently own a 500r (87 I think) in near show room condition it was purchased private and bought to Australia from new ( Suzuki never exported these to Australia ) many years ago and the guy left them in there original crates until around 5 years ago. and you guessed it I am now luckey enough to have 1 of the 2. my question is i want more power but not shure where to start I will tell you what I have at the moment DG pipe , k&n filter , douglas 10x10 and 10x5 wheels, DG nerf bars And DG front bumper other than this the bike is stock with very little hours on it. I am running 98 octain fuel at 32-1 with 927 castor. can anyone help I am considering a carb upgrade but not shure.

id get it ported, mill the head, vf3, maybe a better pipe, airstryker carb

Port it, get a good carb, and get a better pipe. I have a DG and it sucks, I just wish I had the money to buy a better pipe.

Just get some reeds, portwork and a carb
and if you are really daring, get a pipe too

thanks for the advise am looking at DrQ pipe seen as every one here seems to love them and maybe a port job any help on this part will be appreciated as i will be attempting this myself ( no one here has ever had a 500 hotted up ) the next step will be a bigger carb but not straight away. I have just had the standard carb bored and polished to 39.5 mm but havent put it back together yet.

the Dr.Q pipe is great but it comes at a price. get that and port it, then jet your carb and your 500 will scream.
