Thumbs up 87 LT250R Oil Seal Removal/installation

Hi,i will change my crankshaft oil seals soon and i would like to know how to proceed to remove and install seals.Thx

if you just intend on removing the seals without splitting it you can screw a metal screw in them and normally pull them out. then put the new ones in carefully. I use some good grey sealant for extra insurance and a round tool to get them in evenly.

a piece of PVC pipe thas the right daimeter works good for putting them back in... then tap it with a rubber mallet.... shoudl drive it in nice and straihgt

loctite or permatex ultra GREY.... the GREY is tough and will hold up to AV100LL some others will not... but i'm if you don't run AV fuel or race gas you have nothing to worry about....

I generally use carb. cleaner... (2+2 or equivalent) spray the seal and the surface. It makes the seal slippery, easy for installation. Once installed, the carb cleaner evaporates leaving a secure fit for the seal.
