no spark

well i was riding the hybrid yesterday around the yard and all was goin goo untuil bam it dies so i pull it back to the shop to find that i have no spark. my question is wat would cause me to loose spark all of the sudden . its an 85 lt250r. when i try to kicmk it over with the kill switch on it will spark once then stop, and if i kick on it with the switch off and then turn it back on it will spark once and stop. i changed the coil and that didnt help. how much clearence should there be between the flywheel and the magneto, it should be about as thick as a buisness card right. let me know thanks

nevermind i found the prob. after many minutes of testing ohm looad on everything i found that my stator gave up the ghost so i orderd a new one from ricky stator. its the complete assembly with 130watt lighting coil and high output power coil with new pick up coil and timing plate, and i ordered a fly wheel puller
