| I used to do a lot of them but the parts are getting hard to come by these days. Anything over an .080" is hard to find the parts. Scott |

| Most 250's can get a 340 kit for them. Surely if you contact a bike shop local to you they should be able to get you something to the effect of the 340 kit.

| Thanks for the help. I will get ahold of my local shop then. I just hate going through them because they are so slow and most of the time can't get you the right parts the first time. I will let you know what I find out.

| If you can find one let me know, I would be very interested in knowing about them. The 85-86 year LT is a very strange cylinder in the fact that it is a piston port intake with a case reed assist. Also, I don't believe that the case reed will allow that large of a bore size. They had a problem with skirts breaking. As far as an aftermarket cylinder like a Pro-X, they make 310s and 330s for a lot of bikes and ATV's but they don't make one for your application. LA Sleeve used to have a 290 big bore but the 2003 catalog no longer lists that application, only the .080" over. Scott |

| Thanks for the help. My local shop dosen't know what the hell they are doing. At least I found this great site that offers better info than them. Let me know what you find out. I won't be ready or have the money for the job for about 2-3 months.

| Any luck on a big bore yet guys? |
| ||||||||||||
| I found out if I put a big bore kit in I will be barking up the wrong tree. It will make my bottom end like butter. I will spend more time rebuilding than I will riding. I think I will just keep it the way it is and try to get ahold of a honda 250r. Oh well. It was worth a shot. ![]()

| You are right about the bottom end if it is not rebuilt prior to the big bore kit. This is true on almost all 2 stroke motors. |
