Does the swingarm fit?

Does anyone know if the swingarms from the 85-86 lt250r can be exchanged with 87-9? swingarms with out modification? Im looking to put the 87 swingarm on a 85 frame.

yeah they fit but only 87-90 the 91 and 92 arms are a little wider up front

Where are they wider? Are you saying that the swingarm is wider than the frame or that the engine not going to fit into thw swingarm?

they are wider at the frame. the frame is a tad wider at the pivot on the 91-92 q-racers. but the 87-90 arms bolt right inot yours. talk to suzuki_LT250R (ken) he has a swingarm for a 87 i think. why you gonna swap?? the 85-86 round carrier swingamrs are nicer in my opinion. the bow style ones come loose and the cahin adjustment doesn't hold as good. as any zilla owner how tight they have to tighten those 4 big bolts

I have found that the round carriers crack especially the 85-86 years, i was thinking of swapping the square 87-91 but if i could have one made that would be even better.

the 87-92 arms crack also right by the pivot

go there, they sell a swingarm and a carrier to go in it and its allot better then the stock ones.. i was going to do it when i rebuild mine this winter for 05 race season!!! RAUSCH!
