| I am sitting here at workand just waiting so I thought I would attempt to calculate the weight difference, I am really bored. The volume of a tire would be about 5400 cubic inches(22x8x10). The weight of the air in the tire at 10 psi is about 0.4 lbs, the same weight for helium would be about 0.06 lbs(almost zero compared to air). So you could cut about 3/4 of a pound by using helium in both tires. Not much of a gain. There is a catch also, in order to get the tire filled entirely with helium you would have to find a way to suck all of teh air out of the tire first (in order to create a vacuum). If you don't you would still have more air than helium in the tire. So in all reality you will probably only cut about 1/2 of a pound off filling both tires with helium. Not worth the effort. Also helium is not flammable, that is probably hydrogen you are thinking of. Damn was I bored!
