alcohol ?

In detail what do you need to run alcohol, do you need to run a different carb, or have machine work preformed. Please help me. also what ratio do you run it at? Also will this effect the oil to gas mixture?

all I know is that you will have to use more premix, cause the alcohol will eat it right up and you won't be lubin sh*t... ask 370, he's got an alcohol tri-z

I'm not totally positive on this, I betcha 370 will see this and reply. I don't think you need a different carb, but I htink it needs to be jetted WAY richer? cause the alcohol burns so fast and so well you need to add more fuel. I saw a shee in a magazine once that ran on gas AND alky. that was a bad bike, it was an 89 I think? 420 long rod, +8 swingarm, black plastic with green flames painted on it, neon green frame, chrome a arm, j arm, and swing arm, anyways, they ran alky in the sand, and race gas for hillclimbs, and they siad something to the effect that all they had to do to switch over was they had a carb set up for gas, and one for alky (it had a trinity single carb intake) and they'd switch the carb, gas tank, and twist throttle (i would guess for a different needle?) and off they went. thats a good question really.

you have to jet way way richer actually you usually gotta get a bigger carb. you also need to buy premix like KLOTZ BENOL. be ready it's not cheap!!! i run mine at 25:1 yeah sounds rich but you gotta run it super super rich. also a miled had would be a good idea. try looking at macdizzy.com they have a section for alky engines or they did back in the day. my engien was actually already set up when i got it but i do knwo that meth alky runs about $3 a gallon. and the premix is salty also. and you have to figure taht a alky engine uses 2 times teh fuel as a gas burner. if you wanna do it i might be able to help you out. i have an extra alky carb here but i'm not sure which carb i'm gonna use it yet

Do i need a different kind of carb because if i just need a bigger carb im already running a 39mm on the lt250.

you can buy carbs already set up for alky from FTZ racing i think they are about $250
