what will u be using the bike for? drag, dunes, mx? because i'll tell u what, i put over 6K into my lt for motocross and when i tried to sell it, i couldn't get 3K for it and it is mint. although if u are a diehard suzuki fan, it might be worth it. my engine rips and is tighter and harder running than my friends honda 250r with mild porting, pipe and airstryker carb. it was my first quad coming off of 2 wheelers and i thought it would be cheaper to build up a lt than a trx...until the 4 strokes showed up and killed the price of trx's. it flies great and i have jumped everything i have done with my yz's. i think it handles great too. just makes me wonder how much better a trx would be??? hmmm. anyway i'll never get what i put into it, so like me, plan on keeping it.

well.. ive been told.. keep it cause you wont get much for it.. and then been told.. sell it before you go puttin a shit load into it an go get a new 450.. i have no idea what to do cause i REALLY wanna keep it.. but im in a money situation

i owe money to my dad for the quad.. i need to get a truck.. etc

unless u are racing for a living, ride what u prefer. i love 2 strokes and if i was to get a new quad, it would be another 2 stroke.

i was going to race it.. in 05 season.. however to even stand a chance.. i would put all that money into it.. then not get it back like you, i wish i could keep my 250.. and get a new 450.. I WISH SO MUCH!

screw getting a new 450. and it doesn;t matter what your riding you will never get out what you put in. thats just something you need to accept this is not a cheap hobby. your always gonna lose your ass(unless you score killer deals then you break even) just fix up your LT and like it. if your trying to "kepp up with the jones" your gonna waste alot of time and money. not to mention that racing is way expensive anyway. thats just my opinion

i hate to say it, but if u really are going to race for points, go for a new 450. the only way to stand a chance. trust me. i was getting taken at the gate by the new 4 strokes. even my friend on a predator has to work half as much as i do to clear the doubles. i'm screaming the piss out of the engine, and he is barely on the gas. (although i'm 220lb, and riding a quad that's only a 250)
don't get me wrong though, i wouldn't switch.
