Calling All Lt250r Owners!!!

Hey, i have been doin some research with diff ppl and diff places for the best combination for runnin with the big 450's.. I talked to FTZ today and he was telling me about the yz conversion kit-porting-head mods-pipe he can make for low end- and how a buddy of his ran this AND a better ignition system or something and it really rips, should compete with the big guys.. I remember reading about someone on here who had dealt with FTZ before? IF you read this, can ya tell me what all you got done from them and how did it come out? etc.. how much? Anyone else whats the best stuff to run on the LT to make it really rip? Thanks- Chris

Also what about a stroker kit? i was thinking

the yz piston kit w/ port work etc,ignition (the guy said it really helps, more info tomorrow about it though), pipe (lowend), reeds, bigger carb, and the stroker kit

we (my brother and I) were debating on doing the FTZ thing. actually you probably saw my post on it. what my brother was told by FTZ is that with that yz piston kit, FTZ porting, and the FTZ head, carb and ignition he'd keppup with my 370 banshee. so yes you'd be spankin 450r's i have never bought anything from FTZ but i talked to a guy that had a FTZ built engien in his 88 LT250R and he said it was faster then the banshee he had and it toasted the tecate he had too. give it a shot. the YZ kit with porting is only about $400 if you send your cylinder

Thanks that really reasures me.. along with the

yz piston kit, FTZ porting, and the FTZ head, carb and ignition, i would get him to make make me a pipe (he said he could do a pipe for me that would easily give +10morehp then the FMF pipes) v force delta 3s for intake and reeds, the carb.. not sure depends on what carb he gives me if i got it.. and then a stroker kit.. idk much about them or how much.. but ive been told they totally kick ass and sound SICK

do they make a stroker kit for a 87 LT250R??? if you find a link post it i'm interested. also FTZ used to make a RM cylinder conversion that was supposedly badd ass. check on that.

I checked on a stroker kit and there's nothing available. Best thing is just a killer port job, up the compression, and get as much air in and out of the cylinder(i.e. pipe,carb, reeds.) -Mark

my friend has a 92 lt.. his has a stroker kit in it, hell tell me more info tonight also.. FTZ i think he said they can do a stroker kit.. im going to be in touch with him tonight by email.

Yeah im curious too because ive been talking to 1 Dirracing about a port and polish job with a coated cylinder and custom built and coated matching pist and that run me almost 500...P.S i have the 86 model!!!
