| This is usualy do to a few things. Your filter stoped up? The carb jetted to the mods? What oil are you using in the premix? your quad have the full compression? are the 2 quads geared the same with the same tire sizes? I.E. if 2 quads have the same gearing but one is running 21" rear tire and the other has 18" on the rear the one with 18" tires will be geared lower |

| Iam a little knew to this so I dont really know what is what or how to check what? I dont think the filter is stoped up??(does that mean dirty or cloged?) Iam not sure if the carb is jetted to the mods, I havent really messed with the carb since I got it. I use Castor 927 for my premix and I havent done a compression test. For the gearing do you mean sprocket changing? I have ITP holeshots on it I think they are 18". I just find it wierd how his stock bike was a able to keep up with mine??? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it ![]()

| Yah i have an 85 lt and its pretty quick, but a correctly running 88 should it. Mostly because it has a v reed cage and exhaust powervalve. Run a compression test and see if you are sucking air.

any parts store should have a compression gauge, they are handy to have around when you need one |

| I think I'll try some amsoil sometime in the future to see how it works out. Yea , I need to check the sprocket sizes, tires and filter to see how they are doing. I havent really had much of a chance to do anything because of the nasty weather that we have been havin. I think we do have a compression change but it might be broken, so might need to get another one of those. Yea I think we are out of this weather situation so I can get back on my bike and do some hardore ridin!!! thx.

| I don't think your FMF pipe is really going to make you pull ahead very hard against a stock pipe. Definatley not enough to account for rider differences. Unless there is something I missed, you are pretty much stock too. If he is getting a small holeshot on you, then that could be your prob too. Not saying you aren't a good rider, just a thought.

| Hmmm... I guess I didn't realize there was that much of a difference between the two years. What changed from Suzuki that "should" make you pull ahead? By the way, you might be a victim of "Oh, I'm just STOCK!" I've got to admit, I used that line with some of my previous toys that didn't have mod stickers all over them. "I'm stock", yeah right. Guys went home wondering what was "wrong" with their bikes because they just got their ass handed to them by a "stock" bike. Think about it. To this day I'll tell unknowing victims that my zilla is an old 250, then whammo!
