| both bike will have limited mods due to age and manufacturers discontinuing production on em.. i would go with the RM tho more race inspired and seems like cosmetically better shape

| both are good bikes if i had to choose i'd go with the rm it has the full floater rear suspension & is liquid cooled the pe175 had the dual rear shocks & air cooled but i dont know what you need in your state as far a titles pink slips or mso |

| I'm going to go with the RM if it is still available. the pe would be nice to have but I already have a xl350 thumper and dont need another 2 shock rear bike |

| The PE175 has loads of power and more trail useful than the RM but good luck on getting parts for it. The RM is much easier to get replacements for and there's always a good chance of some used aftermarket add-ons such as pipes hitting eBay.

| Thanks all for the replies. I am picking up the rm on sunday at 12pm. Now I need to findout why it has low compression. has anyone just changed rings and not overbored? thanks |

| RMs have plating in the cylinders so you cant overbore it without a sleeve or getting it replated. when you change the rings on a rm its freshening the topend. you should do this once a year if you ride leasurely. racers tear down like every other or every race. |
