My name is Kyle and I live in Caledon, Ontario Canada about one hour north of Toronto. I am 16 years old and I own a 1989 LT250R. I am currently in the process of purchasing a new motor as the conecting rod snaped in half about two months ago. You can see it in the picture. It has Razors on the back and some bald frontmax tires on the front. Studded mudlights for the back and dunlops for the front, winter isn't too far away! It also has aluminium rims, the front wheels are not bent, just cambered inwards. Tag bars, not quite sure where the bar pad is. It also has factory nerfs and a K&N filter. Purchasing an 87 motor which is ported and bored .25 over. Nothing special. here of some pictures of my quad. Thanks, kyle

an 88 with 87 motor that will be sweet
where did you find a 87 still on 1'st bore ?
do you run the stock air box ? you do know you have to change boot on the air box to change from 88 to 87 setup

I found the motor off a guy on e-bay. I was outbid in the auction but because I was the second higest bidder he offerd me first dibs on the motor. This motor is way better then the one that i was bidding on anyways. IMy quadracer is an 89 and I did not know that you had to change to boot in the airbox. I do run the stock airbox with the lid removed. If i am not mistaking the carb for the 87 is bigger, not sure though. This is my first quadracer and I haven't had it too long. i will deffinately look into changing the boot on the airbox.

the carb is the same size it's just not in the same location it's 5mm forward & you need the 87 boot it's 5mm longer p/n 13881-01C00 you boot should be 13881-01C10
