Petcock switch 250lt to 500lt

I was wondering if i should cut the sand/dirt stems(trap) off the 500lt petcock. I was having problems getting gas threw the lt250 petcock so i got a 500lt one. I've heard that alot of guys with the same engine set up as me cut the stems(gas tubes) off, and run a inline fuel filter. Any one have any info on this?-Mike

you can just pull them out. no cutting needed!

i don't think the screens would really be a problem. i think it would be more in the on/off valve.

oh, and i just noticed in your picture of your lt. you have the rear bumper on upside down.

lol i thought it looked funny but when i put it on it didnt want to go in the other way for some reason...lol im going to take it off again and see whats up with it. Thanks for the heads up. It's a new stlye
