Hard to start

92 LT 250R is hard to start pull the plug out put some gas in the cylinder it fires right up then starts easy the rest of the day runs fine.Next day same thing.So what do you think reeds ,rings , airleak ,jetting at this point i don't have a clue.

Is this recently? The cold weather will make any machine a bitch to start. It takes me about 20 kicks to get it started and warmed up. Sorry i can't really help

jetting is off. oh wait i have heard that LT's are very hard to start if you don;t shut the gas off and almost run the bowl empty when you put em away. could be that too. but i would guess jetting

Yeah my lt is hard to start if you don't turn the gas off when your done riding.

mine was hella hard to start, u could pull start it and it would fire, but if it died u had to pull it again, tested the spark and it wasn't sparking so i changed the coil and it will start on the first kick now, like u guys said, i run the gas out of the carb when i put it up...

I've got the same problem with my lt, it does start easier if you run the gas out of it first for some reason. and when i pull it out to check spark it's getting great spark, and i'll put it back in and it fires right up...

I think that must just be a Suzuki thing. My zilla is a Bitch to start if it has set for a while. I have tried everything and never really got it figured out. I replaced the coil, rejetted, you name it i tried it. If any of you have ever kicked a zilla you know why I tried so hard. But Once it is start5ed it starts the first kick eveery time. And if it only sets for a few days it will start on the first kick too. Oh well I still like Suzuki so it's not like it really matters to me
