It's hard to tell if the motor is all together and broke in give us a Compression reading. And then I'll tell you. I would run a 100 till you find out just to be safe. There are a lot of factors that that come in to play on final compression.

ive also been told its a waste to go with anything much over 100 octane ,its burn rate is not much different and cant be burnt any more efficeintly than 100 on most engines ,now if you have 230 lbs of comp and +10 degrees timing id say
youll be hard pressed to keep you motor reliable anyway and not detonating regardless of octane, at those readings your asking for trouble eventually

Thats like saying their isn't much difference between 93 and a 100 its only thats only 10 points. Some one was blowing smoke up your ass... and It doesn't take 230lbs and +10 Deg.to have a motor detonate on 110, It can happen on 190 and +4 Deg with the in proper jetting, wrong plug or a slightly high Cyl temp , A lot of times detonation can't be detected till the top end comes apart and a close inspection of the piston. Some motors Air or liquid cooled will have detonation at slower speeds and at Idle and none at speeds where the air is flowing and the Cyl temp comes down ...I could go on for ever on this subject...but I'm not...Cause there is Some Cold Rollin Rock and A Bottle of Jim Beam Waiting for me in Sandy lake.... Happy new Year to all...Im off Like a Prom Dress.......
